OpenSSO and Netbeans

Today, I received an email about Setting up Integrated Development Environment for OpenSSO. Specifically about how to setup project for Netbeans 6.1. Here is my response. (Maybe useful to people who are developing/debugging OpenSSO)

you should not need to setup it up now. We have checkin the nbprojectpls do a cvs update at /opensso/products directory and you will see a nbproject directory under it

  1. Hi Dennis,

I was having problem in building a OpenSSO project using NetBeans 6.7.1 and read your prev doc ” Setting up Integrated Development Environment for OpenSSO using NB 5.”.

So as per your response above so should i try or wait till nbproject people do a cvs update…

    Thanks,
    Ranjan

    • Hi Ranja, I have tested OpenSSO with Netbeans 6.7.1 and it is working ok.

the project is under opensso/products, just have NB to open this project will do. Remember to do cvs checkout opensso source code first.

      thanks

  2. Hi there,
How can I use OpenSSO in Netbenas??
    Thanks

    • Hi redver, Can you elaborate on your question?
I am hoping that you are a Java developer who has knowledge of the basic features of Netbeans

      • Hi dennisseah,
        Thanks for your reply.
I’m building a message broker to communicate to an oracle data base and clients.
Only I need is a SSO token to let clients access DB.
But I can’t have access to class SSOToken.
I need to import a package?? Netbeans have it??

      • com.iplanet.sso.SSOToken is in amserver.jar file which is part of OpenSSO. Sorry, I do not understand your Netbeans question. You should try to contact people from http://www.forgerock.com. They are hosting the new home for OpenSSO.

  3. Solved, thanks!
